They Come and Go...

As the years have come and gone, I've learned that, so do people. I cherish the teenage years when having a best friend or two, was the most important thing. I grew up surrounded by friends. They were my support group when things went wrong, the close friends I had came by the dozen. And like every normal relationship or lack there of, things happen and slowly but surely your close group of friends lessens by the numbers. In retrospect, I graduated Middle School with about fourteen close friends, give or take, when I graduated High School I had about four close friends. And now, four years after high school, that numbers down to a measly two; On a good day. Now don' get me wrong, I know people that I can call friends, or acquaintances for that matter, I'm not an outcast, BUT for those days where you just gotta release that aggression bottling up inside, there's only two people I turn to. So what happens when you can't turn to the few people you normally would?...

Those Long Nights that Drag on By...

It was just past 1am when I decided I couldn't hold my bladder any longer... got up, did my thing and laid back down. It only took me seconds to realize I wasnt goin to easily fall back asleep. I looked over to see my boyfriend sound asleep, snooring. He's recently changed his work shift to a morning shift that requires his alarm to go off at 3am and of course this means he is in bed by 8pm, sometimes sooner. What does this mean for me?.. I'm left to lay in the dark, hopin to fall asleep with him, sometimes draining on the TV shows that come on. I successfully fell asleep a little after 9pm and of course now I endure the annoying feeling of layin in bed at 1:15am with nothing to do. Flipping through the channels I find a show I love ever too much and have watched over and over, Law and Order:Special Victims Unit. As usual, I've already seen it. It's only a matter of time before that alarm goes off. Needless to say I managed to fall asleep past 4am. It was, a mild repeat of the previous day.
